Hello friends! Welcome on board!

This boat is called ‘Tales from Pasifika’ and I am the captain here. We sail the South Seas, drifting gently between thousands of islands. Every once in a while, we drop our anchor in the Literary Bay to dive into the Ocean of Books. We swim with stories and legends, we chase pages and words. We collect seashells of memories and search for pearls of inspiration. When we go ashore, we explore cultures and traditions. Just to know more; to see things in a new light. And to celebrate the undoubted beauty of The Blue Continent.

When we read, we learn. When we read, we discover. So let’s discover Pasifika. A truly magical place full of colours and sounds, full of smiling people.

If you decide to continue this journey, you won’t regret your decision. If you think this is not for you, simply jump overboard. You may always join us, after all. We’ll be somewhere in the South Seas…

Book recommendations

So you want to bury yourself in a great book but aren’t sure which one to choose? Or maybe you’d like to buy a perfect gift for someone who loves to read? If you don’t know which author or title will be best for you, your family, or friends – just write to me and I will be more than happy to give you some recommendations!

Review policy

I only review books that fall into the Pacific Islands Literature category. Fiction or non-fiction, it doesn’t matter. As long as the volume features Pasifika characters/settings or is written by a Pasifika author, it suits my taste.

If you are a writer or a publisher and would like me to review a specific book, please contact me by sending an email to: talesfrompasifika@gmail.com.
